Purpose

Established in 1952, the Kimberly-Clark Foundation and its mission of charitable giving enable Kimberly-Clark to bring to life our purpose of Better Care for a Better World.

Providing Care through Strategic Partnerships

The Kimberly-Clark Foundation carries out the social responsibility efforts of the company, with its primary focus on social and community investments that increase access to sanitation, help children thrive and empower women and girls.

The Kimberly-Clark Foundation, together with funding from the corporation and our employees, responds to causes and programs with financial contributions, donations of Kimberly-Clark products, and volunteer time.

Through strategic partnerships and long-term investments, the Foundation partners with global NGOs and local nonprofits to help deliver meaningful and sustainable change in line with our social impact strategy. The Foundation plays an important role in helping to achieve the company’s ambition to advance the well-being of 1 billion people in underserved global communities by 2030.

Disaster Relief

Kimberly-Clark also provides care to our communities during some of their most troubling crises. As a member of the American Red Cross Disaster Responder program, Kimberly-Clark has made an annual contribution in advance of disasters, powering the organization with strong infrastructure, innovative technology, and critical resources necessary to meet the urgent needs of people affected by disasters big and small, anytime and anywhere across the U.S.

Partnering with Employees to Expand our Reach

As part of our commitment to deliver Better Care for a Better World, the Kimberly-Clark Foundation encourages employees to give back to the causes they care about most.

  • United Way: In 1952, Kimberly-Clark made its first donation to the local United Way in Neenah, Wisconsin (formerly Community Chest of Neenah-Menasha). 70 years later, Kimberly-Clark employees in the U.S. and Canada continue to support their local communities through a rich partnership with the United Way.
  • Community Partners Volunteer Program: The Kimberly-Clark Foundation’s Community Partners program recognizes employee volunteer efforts by providing $500 grants to charitable organizations to which U.S. employees or their spouses have volunteered at least 30 hours.
  • Matching Gifts Program: U.S. employees can also double their personal donations to qualified charitable organizations through the Kimberly-Clark Foundation’s Matching Gifts program, which matches U.S. employees’ financial contributions to qualified educational and charitable organizations in the U.S. on a dollar-for-dollar basis, up to $10,000 per person each calendar year.
  • Bright Futures Scholarship Program: Established in 1993, the Bright Futures Scholarship Program awards college scholarships to children of Kimberly-Clark employees in the U.S. and Canada. Each scholarship is worth up to $20,000 ($5,000 per year for up to four years) for full-time students working towards a degree at an accredited college or university. Since its inception, the program has distributed over $46 million in scholarships to more than 2,300 students.
